What European buyers ask for

Food-safety certificate

Most European buyers ask for a certificate recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative: IFS, BRCGS or FSSC 22000. Social audits such as SMETA and BSCI are valued. Halal and kosher matter only in niche segments.

Typical specification

Moisture at most 6 %, and 5 % for stricter buyers. Bulk pack: 25 kg in an LDPE liner inside a carton.
